Arts Council England and London 2012 today announced the shortlist for Artists taking the lead, one of the most ambitious and wide ranging art commissions in the UK, part of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad.

Arts Council England has awarded an Artsmark to 197 schools in Yorkshire and the Humber this year. The awards are for commitment to and excellence in arts education, and once again over half of Yorkshire schools have gained the highest level, Artsmark Gold.

Arts Council England has awarded 197 schools in Yorkshire with its prestigious Artsmark award in recognition of their commitment to, and excellence in, arts education. Half of the Yorkshire schools have gained the highest level, Artsmark Gold.
