Arts Council England today (17 May 2012) announced 19 successful applicants in the Yorkshire region worth £3,455,067. This is part of the 173 national applicants in its £30 million Catalyst Arts capacity building and match funding scheme.

The programme for the London 2012 Festival was announced today with outstanding events in Yorkshire amongst the Festival’s highlights.
Across Yorkshire there will be many world-class events taking place in unusual spaces, from Jez Colborne and Mind the Gap’s Irresistible on Ilkley Moor, a sound and visual extravaganza that features sirens and projection, to How Like an Angel, a fusion of contemporary aerial and choral singing in the spectacular setting of Ripon Cathedral.
