The final elements of the infrastructure that will help to make London 2012 the most sustainable Games to date have been completed by the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA), with it on track to exceed a challenging target to reduce the carbon footprint of the Olympic Park by 50%.

The programme for the London 2012 Festival was announced today with outstanding events in Yorkshire amongst the Festival’s highlights.
Across Yorkshire there will be many world-class events taking place in unusual spaces, from Jez Colborne and Mind the Gap’s Irresistible on Ilkley Moor, a sound and visual extravaganza that features sirens and projection, to How Like an Angel, a fusion of contemporary aerial and choral singing in the spectacular setting of Ripon Cathedral.
