5circles

5circles is a large circular stage that can be created in any city in the world, after dusk. The stage is created by strong, projected light, beaming down onto a city's central square. The ring itself houses a series of fully-interactive games inspired by the themes and values of London 2012.
Intricate and spectacular images from a huge projector suspended 30m above the ground, react instantaneously to movement of the people within the space, drawing the public into an intriguing, playful and engaging interaction with both the light and their fellow participants. The first presentation of 5circles took place in York between 23rd and 25th October, and attracted around 2000 people.
