Coach Education Programme

Volunteering

The Coach Education Programme has been running for 2 years and last year’s programme included over 120 courses and enabled over 1000 people. Services 2 Sport has been Inspired by London 2012 to aim higher and develop a bigger and better programme that strives to increase the quality of coaching across the UK.   In partnership with the Coalfields Regeneration Trust the Coach Education programme will be rolled out nationally to the English Coalfields.

Coaching West Yorkshire

Volunteering

Coaching West Yorkshire is a free website and database that is a one stop shop for coaching information in the county. By developing and improving the way sports coaches are recruited and deployed we will contribute to an increase and higher quality experience in sports participation by have more coaches available and more coaches accessing further training, thus delivering a higher quality coaching session. Freedom Road Sports Volunteer Project

The Freedom Road Creative Arts is a charity committed to making a positive difference in the lives of young people in Hull. They have teamed up with the Humber Sports Partnership (HSP) to develop the ‘Freedom Road Sports Volunteer Project’ (FRSVP) which will support young people to take part in volunteering opportunities in local sport settings.

Humber Sport Partnership Mentoring Programme

Volunteering

The mentoring programme is inspired by London 2012 and the opportunity to use the interest and excitement generated by the Games to encourage people to volunteer, which will in turn develop more opportunities for people to take part in sport. The programme will offer volunteers the opportunity to be peer mentored by experience coaches which will aid their development.
