TSB School Sports Week
27.06.11 - 01.07.11. All across Yorkshire.
Lloyds TSB National School Sport Week is Britain’s largest celebration of school sport. The 2010 week saw 14,000 schools and five million young people taking part – and the 2011 week promises to be bigger and better!
The week uses the power and inspiration of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to get more young people taking part in and understanding the value of sport. Schools can get involved by organising Opening and Closing Ceremonies, Torch Relays, Festivals of Sport and inter and intra-school competitions.
And if you're in Sheffield, in conjunction with England Athletics and UKA a “pop-up” portable athletics arena will be based at Westfield Sports College during the week.
