The Moving Body in the City @ Coastival
19.02.11. Coastival Scarborough.
The Moving Body in the City is a series of five new film and projection works inspired by the connections between the moving body and public spaces in Yorkshire.
Commissioned by Lumen and imove, artists Rachel Goodyear, Emily Richardson, Tyman & Rushton, Bernd Behr and Rob and Matt Vale have used places in Leeds, Wakefield, Holmfirth and Scarborough to examine how these towns and cities have been shaped by people moving through them. You can read more about the artists' films at the artists' blog
Saturday 19th February is your last chance to see the amazing Moving Body in the City at Coastival in Scarborough. Be brave and brace the cold winter weather, take a walk along the sea front and see the Vale brothers Kaleidoscope projected onto the lighthouse. All five pieces will be connected via an art walk and printed maps will be available to pick up at each location
