Building Bridges - 1000 Days to go Event

‘Building Bridges’ is the first stage of a photographic essay, developed through exchanges between students from Barnsley and Newham Colleges, that will visually document the regeneration of both boroughs in the run up to the 2012 Games and will chart the social, physical and cultural changes happening in both Barnsley and Newham over the course of the next three years.
The exchange is one of the first projects undertaken as part of the Barnsley Newham Partnership. The Barnsley Newham Partnership, with the support of both local authorities, facilitates activities designed, developed and delivered by the communities of both Boroughs. Inspired by London 2012, the Barnsley Newham Partnership is a unique joint venture established in order to promote and extend the Olympic values of friendship, excellence and respect throughout the UK.
