16.02.11. The Royal York Hotel . 10:00am - 12:00pm.
Learn how your business can benefit from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games
Attend our business conference to find how you can benefit from the biggest business opportunity in the history of British sport. With a large amount of contracts being released in 2011 by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), now is the time to capitalise on the opportunities created by the London 2012 Games.
Chris Townsend, Commercial Director of LOCOG recently emphasised that now is the time for businesses to get involved: “2011 will essentially be our Olympic year in terms of procurement, 95% will be done by the end of the year.”
We will be joined by Richard Beail, Nations & Regions Manager for LOCOG who will discuss the opportunities available in the lead up to the London 2012 Games.
Gary Verity, Chairman of Yorkshire Gold - the county's committee for London 2012 and Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire will talk from a local perspective about what the county is doing to ensure businesses benefit from the diverse range of contracts on offer in 2011. He will also highlight opportunities at a local level from elements such as Pre Games Training Camps and the Torch Relay.
Attending this conference will help your business get "fit to compete" and you will learn how to access opportunities through the site 'CompeteFor'.
The conference will give you fantastic networking opportunities over lunch where you will be joined by a host of exhibitors including: Business Link, Yorkshire Gold and Lloyds TSB.
Speakers include:
Lauren Pigg - Yorkshire Gold Business Club
Richard Beail - LOCOG
Sarah Blackwell - That Company Called IF
